Cycle road racing presents photographers with all the colour, excitement and drama traditionally associated with action sports.

The Girvan Cycle Race threw stunning scenery into the mix to make the event an unmissable opportunity for the amateur or professional 'snapper'. With over 200 miles of varied terrain to choose from the photographer was spoiled for choice when it came to suitable locations.

The race attracted some very talented photographers to the roadsides of Ayrshire & Galloway each year. The images on this page represent a sample of their work.
