Safety Advice for Spectators:

  • Dog owners - please keep your pet on its lead. Racing cyclists can go surprisingly fast and animals are often un-nerved by cyclists passing at high speed.
  • Parents - please keep young children under control as they too can become excited by the spectacle of the race.
  • Mind those toes! Please stand on the footpath at all times when the race is passing. Stand behind the crowd control barriers, tapes or ropes that will present in the start/finish area - they are there for your safety.
  • Photographers - please do not stand in the road when trying to get good shots. This is not only dangerous but is unlikely to produce a pleasing photo. There are plenty of suitable vantage points around the circuit which offer better opportunities for great action shots.
  • Please follow any instructions given by Police officers and Race Marshals. Our marshals are all unpaid volunteers and their only aim is to ensure the safety of race participants and general public alike.
Competitors/Team Managers Please Note:
The route details above are for general information only. Please refer to the Race Manual for full details including location of the service pits and further information regarding the Road Closure Order.
