Traffic Information for Other Road Users
Road Traffic Act Cycle Event Sign Watch out for the event signage on affected routes
Thank you for taking the time to visit this page. The routes for each stage of the race have been chosen in consultation with the Police and are designed to minimise disruption to normal traffic as much as possible.

The main pack of competitors travels at an average speed of around 25 mph - similar to the speed of many earth-moving and farm vehicles. While some delays are inevitable, road users are unlikely to be delayed for more than a few minutes when the race passes in the opposite direction.

If traveling in the same direction as the race you may be held up a little longer. However, if you are planning to use any of the roads specified in the schedules below, you may wish to allow extra time for your journey, or use an alternative route.
